In addition to academics, Greenwich Academy offers
many activities that enrich the students lives, build self-confidence,
sharpen skills and develop talents.
Clubs provide the opportunity to explore a wide range of academic
and extracurricular interests. The students collaborate on significant
projects with one another, learn to take responsibility and initiative
and assume important leadership roles.
LOWER
SCHOOL CLUBS - SERENDIPITY
The Lower School runs an after school program called Serendipity
for girls in Groups I-IV. Clubs meet for one hour after school.
The schedule is posted each semester. Past clubs have included Card
and Stationery Making, French Culture and Cooking, Jewelry Making,
Chess, Kids Care Club, Computer, Scrapbooks, Quilting and Book Club.
MIDDLE
SCHOOL CLUBS
Middle School Clubs are offered to allow students the
opportunity to pursue interests, try out new experiences, and to
have fun. Club schedules are posted in the fall and spring semesters.
Past club activities have included Book Club, Chorus, Classics,
Classic Movies, Community Service Board, Dance, Digital Video, Diversity,
Drama, Games, Knitting, Math, Needlepoint, Newspaper, Russian Dolls,
Student Government, Trivial Pursuit Challenge and Yearbook.
UPPER

Students may choose to participate in a variety of extracurricular
clubs in the Upper School at Greenwich Academy. There are elected
offices that students may hold as well. Upper School club topics
include Book Club, Classics, Community Service Board, Conservation
Club, Dance Corps, Debating Current Issues, Drama Club, Diversity
Task Force, Film Society, Food Bank, Graphic & Design Services,
Greenleaf Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Junior Dance Corps,
Math Team, Peer Mentoring, Perspectives, Political Society, Project
KidAid, Publications, RADD, Saturday in the City, SCORE, Stride,

UPPER
SCHOOL ELECTED OFFICES
Forum (Student Government)
This is the main governing body in the Upper School. The purpose
of the organization is to provide a forum for the discussion of
those issues vital to the well-being of the school community and
to prepare specific recommendations for consideration by the head of school.
Honor Board
The Honor Board provides a forum for discussion of honor and integrity.
The board works to develop educational opportunities that promote
honor and integrity in the school community. Students are encouraged
to approach the board if they feel there has been a violation of
honor.
Student Council
The Student Council serves as a forum for student concerns and acts
to encourage good citizenship and active participation of all students
in Upper School life.
