The Greenwich Academy Dance Corps presents Winterfest 2006

The Greenwich Academy Dance Corps’, Winterfest 2006, will be held Friday and Saturday, December 8th and 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the Wallace Performing Arts Center’s Massey Theater.  Both of the school’s dance companies, Dance Corps and Junior Dance Corps, will perform professional choreography as well as student choreography.

This year’s program will feature 2 pieces of choreography by company director Marcia Brooks as well as work by faculty member Jennifer Pommiss and resident choreographer, Sidra Bell.  Bell is the artistic director of Sidra Bell Dance New York and has been working with the dance students at Greenwich Academy as part of the Upper School Dance Residency program.  Sidra Bell Dance New York will also perform at an assembly for the Upper School in February 2007.  Winterfest is a cherished tradition for the Greenwich Academy community and highlights the energy and versatility of the dedicated dancers.
