Other Required Application Materials Due by January 15 of Application Year (earlier if possible)

All applications to Greenwich Academy must include the following:

I. Application
An application form, accompanied by the application fee of $75, is required before making an appointment for the parents’ interview, individual tour or student’s visit. The deadline for all applications is December 15 to be eligible for February 25 notification. By the end of January, parents’ and students’ visits will be completed for all those who have submitted applications before December 15. Applications received after December 15 will be considered late applications.

II. Transcripts and Confidential Recommendations
Forms for the release of transcripts and for teacher recommendations will be sent to the family upon receipt of the application and fee. It is the parents’ responsibility to get these to their daughter’s school office and to her teachers for completion. All forms must be received by the Greenwich Academy Admission Office on or before January 15.

III. Parents’ Visit
Parents should call the Admission Office well in advance for an appointment to visit the school. At this meeting, the Director of Admission will discuss the candidate’s interests, Greenwich Academy’s curriculum and philosophy and answer any questions the family may have. A tour of the campus will take place as well. The total time of the visit will be approximately 1 1/2 hours.

IV. Student’s Visit
Candidates for Groups II through XI are required to spend a day at Greenwich Academy. These visits are scheduled Monday through Thursday. A student hostess helps each visitor feel welcome and comfortable during this visit, and it is a good time for the candidate to get a feeling for the life and spirit of the school. Lower, Middle and Upper School candidates may visit the classrooms between October and January. Appointments for class visits should be made several weeks in advance of the desired date. Candidates for Group I will visit for half a day if openings for the following year are anticipated. These visits also are scheduled Tuesday through Thursday.
