ADMISSION CALENDAR
May-December
Applicants request viewbooks and application materials.
Applicants complete the application form and submit to Greenwich Academy Admission Office in advance of December 15 with the $75 fee. The application takes several weeks to complete and includes: parent visit, student visit, any necessary testing, recommendation forms and transcripts. All files must be complete by January 15 to be considered in the first round of acceptances.

October-January
All candidates for Groups III through XI should take necessary standardized tests:

  • Groups V-XII: 
    The Greenwich Academy Admission Office prefers the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) and will accept the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT).  For information about the ISEE, including online registration, go to http://www.erbtest.org/pages/ERB_ISEE.html or call ISEE Office at 800.446.0320.
    For information about the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) including online registration, go to http://www.ssat.org/
  • Groups III and IV:
    Applicants take the ERB the Educational Record Bureau (ERB) CTP IV test and should contact the Greenwich Academy Admission Office 203.625.8990 for an ERB registration form.

January 15
All references, transcripts, testing results and other materials must be received by the Admission Office in order to be considered for first round of admission decisions. If applying for financial aid, one must send a Parents Financial Statement (PFS) to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid by December 15 so that results can be received by January 15. In addition, a copy of the parents' PFS and most recently completed IRS Form 1040, including all schedules, must be sent to the Admission Office in December. Early completion of the forms is highly recommended.

February 23
Admission and financial aid decision letters will be mailed to applicants whose files have been completed by January 15.

March 9
Students admitted on February 25 are asked to notify the Admission Office of their decisions. Upper School applicants who also have applied to boarding schools may request an extension for replying (April 10 at the latest).

Candidates whose initial applications are received after December 15 will be considered on a rolling admission basis after the first round of acceptance letters is sent, provided spaces remain open in the appropriate grade level.
