Board membership reflects a strong parent base, gender balance, divisional balance and expertise in finance, law, education and investment management. Meetings are well attended and regular, committees work actively on their own and individual trustees are knowledgeable about and devoted to the school. Board members are kept informed about the school and educational trends in general through regular mailings and monthly reports from the Head of School.

The Board is actively involved with long-range strategic planning and develops task forces to address issues of concern to the school. In the past few years, the task forces on student life and diversity have been created and have included students, parents, faculty, alumnae and trustees.

Board of Trustees

GA's Board of Trustees is dedicated to supporting and fostering the mission of the school. The Board offers the expertise and vision necessary to keep the Academy's mission alive and healthy for future generations.

In doing so, Greenwich Academy's trustees are committed to attracting a superior faculty and providing funds for faculty development. They are responsible for developing financial policies, approving financial budgets and monitoring performance against these budgets.
