& 4. Raether Athletic Center
is a 28,000 square foot, 2 1/2-story building that includes
a 1500-seat double gymnasium with five squash courts, a fitness
room and locker and shower facilities. The original entrance
to (4) Ramsing Gymnasium was also renovated
when the facility expanded. A new lobby with entrances
to both the Raether and Ramsing gymnasiums was added, which
provides access to the courtyard and outdoor sports fields.

2. Wallace Performing Arts Center includes the 400-seat
Massey Theater, which has a shallow-raked floor
and a low balcony. The 26,500 square foot, 2 1/2-story
Performing Arts Center also features a 100-seat flexible theater
that provides practice areas for dance, choral and instrumental
rehearsals. Numerous performances take place in the theater
as well as assemblies and meetings. Additionally, the Jacobs
Lobby and Luchsinger Art Gallery
provide space for art exhibits.

The Pethick Dance Studio is adjacent to the
Wallace Performing Arts Center. Students learn dance techniques
and choreography and plan and rehearse performances.

6.
Patsy G. Howard Upper School
A new Upper School opened in September 2002. The new facility
includes 20 classrooms, 5 science laboratories, a student center,
media center for distance learning, a visual arts complex, a
20,000-volume library with space and technology to serve both
the Upper and Middle Schools and various support spaces conference
rooms and offices. The building was named the Patsy G.
Howard Upper School on Charter Day 2004 in honor of the retiring
headmistress.

7. Philander Button Hall (Middle School)
The Middle School building, located between the Upper and
Lower Schools, houses eighteen classrooms for Groups V to
VIII. It contains three science labs, an art studio and a
computer lab. In addition, several Middle School academic
classes meet on the second floor of Ruth West Campbell Hall.

Lower School
The Lower School is a brightly decorated, well-organized environment
for Connecting Class through Group IV. All rooms and
offices contain MacIntosh computers which are connected to
the Internet and email, allowing faculty and students to communicate
easily. In addition, there is a library, an art studio,
a computer lab and a dance/music room.

Ruth West Campbell Hall
The Administration building, RWC is the oldest building on
the Greenwich Academy campus. The former home of the Rockefellers,
this building now houses the offices of the Head of School,
Assistant Head, Admission and Communications. The second floor
serves as Middle School classroom space.

The Dining Hall is by far the busiest place on campus
with nearly 800 students, faculty and staff converging here
for lunch daily. Young Assembly Hall serves
as a place where large groups can gather for meetings and performances.

11. E. Kay Cowan Early Learning Center
was developed for the purpose of providing child care in a developmentally
stimulating setting for the infants and young children of Greenwich
Academy faculty. Although the children of faculty from
Greenwich Academy and other area schools continue to be the
targeted population of this center, the Cowan Center serves
children from the local community as space is available.

Alumnae House at 296 North Maple Avenue houses the Alumnae
and Development Offices on the first floor and the Business
Office on the second floor.
